WBO minimumweight champion Moisés “Moi” Fuentes (15-1-0, 7 KOs) scored a spectacular first round knockout over Julio César “Gatito” Felix (17-4-0, 7 KOs) to retain his title on Saturday night at El Foro in Tijuana, BC, Mexico. Felix was down twice, the second time for the count. Time was 2:16. After the fight Fuentes declared, “We’re ready for Calderon!”
In other action, unbeaten super bantamweight Daniel “Bad Boy” Rosas (14-0-1, 9 KOs) took a close ten round unanimous decision over Enrique “Duende” Bernache (19-4, 10 KOs). Scores were 95-94 twice and 97-95.
