Garcia-Lock clash August 14

Fast rising featherweight contender Miguel “Mikey” Garcia (22-0, 18 KOs) of Oxnard, CA, trained by his brother, former junior lightweight champion Robert Garcia, and father, Eduardo, will take on southpaw and Roger Mayweather pupil, Cornelius “Lighting” Lock (19-5-1, 12 KOs) of Detroit, MI on Saturday, August 14 at the Laredo Energy Arena in Laredo, TX in a 12-round IBF featherweight title eliminator and will be televised live on Fox Sports Net. In his last outing, the 22-year old Garcia defeated Pedro “El Vaquero” Navarrete (25-8-3, 14 KOs) of Mexico via unanimous decision on Latin Fury 14, which featured the return of the “Tijuana Tornado” Antonio Margarito, in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
