Former world champion Giovani Segura (28-2-1, 24 KOs), who will fight in a ten-round flyweight bout against veteran contender Omar Salado (23-5-1, 14 KOs) on February 23 at the Gimnasio del Estado in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. It will be Segura’s first fight since his defeat against current champion Brian Viloria 14 months ago.
WBA #10 super flyweight contender David “Tornado” Sanchez (21-2-1, 18 KOs) will face Filipino Marlon “Tornado” Tapales (21-1-0, 7 KOs) in the main event. Also on the card is WBA #12 jr flyweight Gilberto “Parrita” Parra (18-1, 15 KOs), who meets Francisco Perez (11-2-1, 7 KOs) in an eight-rounder.
