Godfrey a free agent

Former world title challenger and amateur standout, Matt “Too Smooth” Godfrey (20-2, 10 KOs), is now a promotional free agent and says he’s prepared to get right back into the cruiserweight picture with a new promoter. Godfrey was stopped for the first time in his pro career last August when he unsuccessfully challenged WBO champion Marco “Kapt’n” Huck in Germany. He is managed by Bret Hallenbeck and trained by “Iceman” John Scully.
