Golovkin a big 8:1 favorite over Macklin

Toughest test or not, oddsmakers have established unbeaten WBA/IBO middleweight world champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin as a huge -800 favorite to defeat two-time world title challenger Matthew “Mack The Knife” Macklin when they collide Saturday night at the MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut. Macklin backers can get +500. HBO will televise.

In other action this weekend, former Golovkin opponent Grzegorz Proksa is a -200 pick to defeat ex-world champion Sergio “The Latin Snake” Mora in a middleweight clash on Friday at the Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. Mora is at +163. ESPN2 will televise.

Also, two-division former world champion Joan “Little Tyson” Guzman is a healthy -550 to defeat Vicente “El Loco” Mosquera for the interim WBA jr welterweight title fight on Friday night at the Kissimmee Civic Center in Kissimmee, Florida. Mosquera is +350. Telemundo will televise.
