There’s a buzz on the streets here in New York City. Even newspapers like the Wall Street Journal are writing about smiling man with the fashionable cardigan from Kazakhstan who just destroys rivals in the ring. But is this phenomenon limited just to New York City or the U.S. market? Fightnews.com asked event organizer Tom Loeffler, general manager of K2 Promotions.
“It’s much bigger than that,” said Loeffler, who only 14 months ago introduced GGG to American boxing fans. “Not only has this show gotten a lot of interest in the USA, especially New York, but it has tremendous international interest with the quality of the fights. Saturday night’s event will be broadcasted in more than 100 countries worldwide, on the biggest, most important TV stations, including SKY in the United Kingdom, Channel 1 in Russia, Polsat TV in Poland or for the first time, as a live boxing night broadcasted from US on the German SAT1 channel.”
