Gomez-Lane collide on Super Bowl eve

Golden Boy Promotions will promote its debut event at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on the eve of the Super Bowl, Saturday, February 2, with a tripleheader featuring a host of rising stars looking to make an immediate impact in their first bouts of 2013. Headlining the card in a 10-round welterweight bout between unbeaten power puncher Frankie “Pitbull” Gomez (14-0, 11 KOs) and Lanard Lane (13-2, 8 KOs). Plus, Mayweather Promotions’ undefeated junior welterweight prospect Mickey Bey Jr. (18-0-1, 9 KOs) and 2012 United States Olympian Joseph “Jo Jo” Diaz Jr. (1-0, 0 KOs) kick off 2013 in separate televised matchups. Opponents for Bey Jr. and Diaz Jr. as well as a full slate of undercard fights will be announced at a later date. The FOX Sports Networks and FOX Deportes bi-lingual simulcast will air live at 11:00 p.m. ET/8:00 p.m. PT.
