Gonzalez-Gutierrez cancelled

WBA minimumweight world champion Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez (25-0, 21 KOs) has received the sad news that his defense against Sammy Gutierrez (24-5-1, 15 KOs) scheduled for July 17 at Palenque Caliente Racetrack in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico is off. The fight would have been Gonzalez’ fourth defense and third in Mexico. Gonzalez, who is co-promoted by PRODESA and Teiken Boxing, had gone through a hard preparation for this fight. He is now considering a move to light flyweight.
