González, Torres added

Puerto Rican natives and unbeaten prospects José “Chelo” González (7-0, 4 KOs) and Joel “Joelo” Torres (11-0-1, 7 KOs) will fight in seperate bouts October 24th in an edition of DiBella Entertainment’s Broadway Boxing series. Site of the event will be the Coliseo Roberto Clemente in San Juan, Puerto Rico. PR Best Boxing Promotions (Ivan & Peter Rivera) and DiBella Entertainment will promote.

Gonzalez promoted by PR Best Boxing Promotions (Ivan & Peter Rivera) will take on Javier García (6-2-1, 2 KOs)in an eight round bout contracted at 138 pounds. Torres promoted by DiBella Entertainment will be in an eight round lightweight limit bout with an opponent to be announced shortly.

The main event will feature Former welterweight world champion Kermit “Killer” Cintron (31-2-1, 27 KOs) will be fighting for the first time in his career in Puerto Rico on October 24th at the Coliseo Roberto Clemente in San Juan. Cintron was born in Carolina, Puerto Rico where he lived until he was a teenager at which point he moved to Pennsylvania. Cintron’s bout will be a junior middleweight twelve rounder.

Also on the card will be former welterweight champion Carlos “El Indio” Quintana (26-2, 20 KOs) featured in a ten round junior middleweight clash, also with an opponent to be announced.

Eight additional bouts are being scheduled. Tickets can be purchased at TicketCenter online at ( or by calling (787 )792-5000 Tickets are priced between $20 and $150.
