González wins on DQ

PR Best Boxing presented ‘Noches de Boxeo’ Friday night from the Coliseo Ruben Rodriguez, in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. In the main event, Jose ‘Chelo’ González (9-0, 5 KOs) remained unbeaten by way of a disqualification victory over Roberto Acevedo (9-9-3, 1 KO). Referee Roberto Solís disqualified Acevedo at 32 seconds of round five.

In other action, heavyweight Víctor Bisbal (16-1, 11 KOs ) of Puerto Rico unanimously decisioned veteran Charles Davis (19-19-2, 4 KOs) by the scores of 60-54, 60-54 and 60-54.

Jorge Meléndez (11-1, 11 KOs) stopped Abraham Bruno (6-12-4, 3 KOs) at 2:36 of round two in a super welterweight bout.

A lightweight match between Eric Cruz (7-2-3, 7 KOs) ) and Gamalier Rodríguez (8-2-3, 4 KOs) ended in a technical draw after a cut was suffered by Cruz and the bout was halted at 1:08 of round one.

In junior welterweight action, Carlos Delgado (1-1) unanimously decisioned Regino Canales (1-1) by the scores of 38-37, 39-36 and 39-36.

In a battle of debuting lightweights, Mario Lugo (1-0) stopped Gerardo Adorno (0-1) at 1:20 of round one.

In super featherweight action, Fauris Capellán (1-0, 1 KO) stopped Luis Ortiz (0-2 ) at 32 seconds of round one.

In light flyweight action, José Alberto Claudio (1-1) unanimously decisioned Roberto Díaz (1-1) by the official scores of 38-37, 39-36 and 39-36.

Finally, in flyweight action, Jiovanne Fuentes (2-0) stopped Alberto Vélez (0-1) at 2:56 of round one.
