Promoter Dan Goossen is hoping to have last year’s California State Athletic Commission’s arbitration ruling involving former featherweight champion Robert Guerrero vacated. The CSAC ruled that Guerrero was free from his promotional contract with Goossen Tutor and Guerrero later signed with Golden Boy Promotions. Goossen wants the case re-arbitrated, citing a number of irregularities in the proceedings especially the fact that the arbitrator, former CSAC executive director Armando Garcia, never signed off on the ruling. Goossen also alleges inappropriate conduct by Deputy Attorney General Earl Plowman in advising Garcia as well as a conflict of interest involving commissioner Peter Lopez.
