The Prize Fight Boxing Promotions “Title Time” event is coming together for Saturday, October 10th at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium in Salisbury, MD.

The card features undefeated hometown middleweight prospect Fernando Guerrero as he tries for his first regional title. Guerrero (15-0, 13 KOs) will challenge Ossie Duran (23-7-2, 9 KOs) of Paterson, NJ for the vacant NABO middleweight title.

Guerrero is coming off a third-round TKO over Chris Archer on August 29th. Duran, a native of Ghana and a former British Commonwealth jr middleweight champ, lost a ten-round unanimous decision in his last fight (April 10) to David Lopez.

Guerrero’s older brother, Alex, will also be on the card, fighting in a four-round rematch against Rodricka Ray of Jackson, TN. Alex Guerrero won a four-round majority decision over Ray in Guerrero’s pro debut on June 29th.

Undefeated DC lightweight Ty Barnett is scheduled to return to action on this card. Barnett (16-0-1, 11 KOs) will take on Juan Santiago of Denver, CO (9-2-1, 6 KOs) in an eight-round contest. Barnett is coming off a victory over Johnnie Edwards in November of 2008.

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
