The rising rookie Rafael “Raffles” Gutierrez is ready to be the main event for the first time this Saturday night, July 11th when he faces Daniel Quevedo of Mexicali in Ensenada, Mexico. The fight night is being presented by Box Latino along with the Mexican cable channel Cadena Tres and will also feature the best prospects of the promotional company in the seaside port one hundred miles south of the Tijuana/San Diego border which include Sergio “Mickey” Lopez (7-1, 6 KOs), Andres Gutierrez and Pedro Gibran Guevara, all unbeaten and ready to take part of “Sangre Nueva (New Blood)” as the fight card is being billed.
After clearly defeating former Mexican national champion Ramon Leyte last May, “Raffles” is ready to take on all comers and that is why the promoter, the former three time world champion Erik Morales, has put all his faith in the native of Mulege, Mexico.
Gutierrez (11-2, 9 KOs) who is trained by former fighter Paco Cuesta will face off against Quevedo (12-9-1, 6 KOs) in a ten round bantamweight bout.
Andres Gutierrez (5-0, 4 KOs) will be facing the always dangerous TBA in another bantamweight fight while Gibran Guevara (3-0, 1 KO) will face off against an opponent to be determined in the junior flyweight division.
The fight card will take place at the Oscar “Tigre” Garcia Gymnasium and will be televised nationally in Mexico.
