Golden Boy Promotions has won the purse bid and the right to host the vacant IBF lightweight title bout between former two division world champion Joan Guzman (29-0, 17 KOs) and former world title challenger Ali Funeka (30-2-2, 25 KOs). The bout appears to be headed to the televised undercard of the November 28th rematch between IBF super middleweight champion Lucian Bute (24-0, 19 KOs) and challenger Librade Andrade (28-2, 21 KOs) at the Pepsi Coliseum in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada.
