Harrison Headlines Detroit Card

By Bob Ryder

Detroit’s undefeated Tony Harrison headlines the pro boxing event this Friday at the Masonic Temple as he takes on Dan Wallace in the main event of the Kaltsas Productions “Showdown For Motown” card. Harrison was Emanuel Steward’s last pupil as the 14-0 Harrison had won his first 8 fights under the late Kronk masters’ guidance. The main event is set for 6 rounds.

Also on the show, Bronco McKart faces Marcos Primera in a six rounder in one of the night’s featured attractions. Marlon Thomas makes his comeback having had only one fight since 2007, that being over two years ago, to take on Vance Garvey, also over a scheduled six rounds.

Other scheduled contests:
Anthony Barnes vs TBD
Leandre White vs Delvery Wofford
William McElroy vs William Hill
Anthony Gallerani vs Lorenzo Barber
Gabriel Garza vs Albert Hawkins

Tickets are $30 General Admission or Ringside Tables at $100/person and can be purchased at Doors open at 7PM with first bell at 8PM.

    Help Support®

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
