HBO Boxing scored again in the ratings Saturday night. Per Nielsen Media Research, Terence Crawford vs. Yuriorkis Gamboa attracted an average audience of 1,208,000 viewers, making it the second most-watched bout on cable TV so far this year. The slugfest registered a peak viewership of 1,286,000 viewers. This event marked the first time Crawford headlined a fight card on HBO. He fought three times on the network in 2013.
The undercard fight of Matt Korobov vs. Jose Uzcategui – both making their HBO debut – registered 929,000 viewers. The fight peaked with 1,066,000 viewers.
HBO Boxing has now delivered the top eight performing fights on cable television for 2014.
