Boxing returns in a big way to Dover Downs Hotel & Casino in Dover, Delaware on Friday, January 25, when heavyweights top the show. The long running “Friday Night Fights” series continues with big-punching Amir “Hardcore” Mansour (16-0, 12 KOs) taking on veteran Dominique Alexander (23-15-1, 11 KOs) in the ten round main event. In the co-feature, Franklin “Yah-Yah” Lawrence (18-2-2, 13 KOs) takes on Mark “Oak Tree” Brown (15-4, 7 KOs) in an eight round bout.
Other fighters scheduled to appear in separate bouts include:
Junior welterweight Edgar “El Chamaco” Santana (26-4, 17 KOs) will be fighting for the second time at the Rollins Center. Santana holds a win over highly rated Josesito Lopez.
Featherweight Cornelius Lock (19-6-1, 12 KOs) will be making his return to the ring after more than two years. Lock has been in the ring with several world champions.
Super featherweight Omar “Super O” Douglas (6-0, 4 KOs), highly decorated as an amateur, is one of the hottest pro prospects around.
Super featherweight “Queen” Ronica Jeffrey (11-0, 1 KO) is certainly a fan favorite, having fought eight times previously here. In her last bout, Ronica defeated “Lethal” Lindsay Garbatt in the main event.
Super middleweight John “Church Boy” Bowman (4-0-1) is a local prospect who will be fighting for the fifth time at the Rollins Center, while light heavyweight Frankie “The Freight Train” Filippone (11-2-1, 2 KOs) will be making his first appearance.
