An interesting all-German heavyweight clash between Timo Hoffmann (40-7-2, 23 KOs) and Steffen Kretschmann (16-2, 15 KOs) ended in a no contest on Friday night at the TABEA Bürgerpark in Halle/Saale, Germany, after the outdoor fight was stopped in round six due to rain and slippery conditions. Kretschmann seemed a bit ahead and it was likely unfortunate for him that they didn’t score the bout on the rounds completed. Earlier heavyweight Erkan Teper (9-0, 6 KOs) survived a knockdown to defeat Gbenga Oloukun (19-9, 12 KOs) over eight.
Other results:
Fast rising welterweight hope Roman Belaev (9-0, 8 KOs) scored a seventh round TKO over Semjons Moroseks (17-20-1, 7 KOs). Big-punching super middleweight Uensal Arik (15-1, 15 KOs) scored a third round KO over Gyorgy Marosi (15-6, 9 KOs). Arik dropped Marosi with a body shot in round two and finished him with a brutal body attack in the third.
