Tonight at Isleta Resort & Casino: Repeating her success of the first fight, Holly Holm (26-1-3, 7 KOs) defended her WIBA super welterweight title with a ten-round unanimous decision over Chevelle Hallback (27-6-2, 11 KOs). Scores were 99-92 and 98-92 twice. In the co-main event, Victoria Cisneros (4-8-2) pulled off the majority decision victory over Terri Blair (11-15-3, 6 KOs). Scores were 77-75, 77-76 and 76-76. In the top undercard bout, Albuquerque’s David Proa (7-2 7 KOs) was upset by Jonathon Arias (10-6, 8 KOs), who won a majority decision with scores of 58-56 twice and 57-57.
In a four-round jr. lightweight bout, Albuquerque’s Randy “Savage” Arrellin (3-2, 1 KO) lived up to his nickname by destroying Salvador Zamora (4-2, 2 KOs) in round four by body shots. The end came at 1:13.
In a four-round welter bout, Josh “Pittbull” Torres (4-1, 2 KOs) scored a second round TKO over David Castillo (1-1). Castillo was forced to quit in round two due to a broken left hand.
Sammy Piar (1-1, 1 KO) had to settle for a draw with Edwin Rosado (1-6), of Worcester, Mass. Piar went down in round two but was able to avoid a loss with scores of 37-38, 39-37 and 38-38.
In the opening bout of the evening, Albuquerque heavyweight Fernando Reyes (1-1) won his return bout over Eric Ballejos (0-1) by decision. Reyes lost a point in round three for losing his mouthpiece, but dropped Ballejos in round two. Scores were 38-37 twice and 38-36, all for Reyes.
