From the Hard Rock of Albuquerque: In the shortest fight of her career, Holly Holm (28-1-3, 8 KOs) scored a first round TKO over Jaime Clampitt (21-4-1, 7 KOs), of Canada/Rhode Island. After a somewhat tentative round, Clampitt suddenly sunk to her knees and rolled onto her back at the 10-second warning bell, clutching her right shoulder. Unable Clampitt unable to continue, due to dislocated shoulder, Holm picked up the TKO win, since there was no foul committed. In the co-main, Randy “Savage” Arrellin (5-3, 4 KOs)scored a spectacular knockout of short-notice sub Julio Chavez (6-5, 2 KOs). The end came at 1:28 of round six. On the undercard: Colorado’s John Ryan Grimaldo (5-0, 4 KOs) systematically dismantled and stopped game Carlos “El Gallo” Sanchez (5-2, 2 KOs). Sanchez was down twice before the stoppage at 1:30 of round five. Celina Salazar (3-0-1) of San Antonio, Texas and Albuquerque’s Nohime Dennison (4-1-1) fought to a draw, scores of 38-38, 39-37 Salazar and 40-36, Dennison. In the opener, Yordan Hernandez Perez (1-0, 1 KO) won his pro debut with a third round TKO (1:46) of MMA fighter Joshua Montoya (0-1).
