Hopkins-Jones official

It’s official. After 17 years, Bernard “The Executioner” Hopkins (50-5-1, 32 KOs) and Roy “The Terminator” Jones Jr. (54-6, 40 KOs) will collide again. The rematch is set for April 3 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nev. The bout will be broadcast live on pay-per-view beginning at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. The fighters will participate in a press tour with stops in New York and Los Angeles next Tuesday and Wednesday. Both are talking already. “I am going to end this thing between me and Roy once and for all,” said Hopkins. Jones commented, “Now I can finally terminate the Executioner once and for all.”

    Help Support®

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
