Hopkins-Murat now set for October 19 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City

Sauerland Event has confirmed that they have agreed to terms for mandatory challenger Karo Murat (25-1-1, 15 KOs) to face ring legend and IBF light heavyweight world champion Bernard Hopkins (53-6-2, 32 KOs) at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on October 19. Hopkins was originally slated to fight Murat on July 13 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, but the card was scrapped when Murat had problems getting a U.S. visa. At 48, Hopkins is the oldest world champion in boxing history. Murat has now resolved his visa troubles.
