“Let’s make it simple – I will be WBC cruiserweight champion as long as I want to be. Nobody will take this title from me. Starting with Fragomeni on December 6 in Chicago. I can promise all my Polish fans, here in the U.S. and in Poland, I will bring WBC belt back,” said Krzysztof “Diablo” Włodarczyk, who arrived in the Windy City Wednesday evening.
“Everything worked very well during training camp and I’m ready to explode next Friday in the UIC Pavilion,” said Włodarczyk, who plans to have a quiet Thanksgiving dinner in the U.S. city with the largest Polish population and “maybe hit some stores on Friday”. Włodarczyk (48-2, 34 KO) will defend his WBC cruiserweight title December 6 in Chicago’s UIC Pavilion again mandatory challenger, Italy’s Giacobbe Fragomeni (31-3, 12 KOs). The big evening of world championship boxing in Chicago, which also includes the return of #1 IBF ranged light heavyweight Andrzej “Polish Prince” Fonfara (24-2, 14 KO) against hard hitting Sam Miller (26-7, 23 KO), will be televised live by ESPN3.com.
