Unbeaten and fast-rising prospect Hugo ‘The Boss’ Centeno (17-0, 9 KOs) of Oxnard, California works out at the KO Boxing & Fitness Gym as he is set to take on Keandre ‘Lightning’ Leatherwood (12-1-1, 8 KOs) on Friday March 8th in the main event on the latest edition of ShoBox: The New Generation in an 10-round junior middleweight bout live from the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, California which is being presented by Golden Boy Promotions.

When asked his opinion and what he knew about his opponent, Centeno said “I know he’s a good, strong fighter but other than that I don’t really know too much about him, I know they call him ‘Lighting’ because supposedly he’s got fast hands but March 8 we’ll see how fast and good he really is. I’m having a great training camp for this fight, I’ve been sparring a lot at the Wild Card Gym in L.A. and we’re getting some great work out there. I never take any fighter lightly, every fight is important to me and I know March 8 we’re going to put on a great show for the fans.” In his last outing, Hugo Centeno, who is managed by Joel De La Hoya, brother of 10-time world champion Oscar De La Hoya, defeated Allen Conyers (12-8, 9 KOs) when Conyers failed to come out for the start of the 7th round at the legendary Los Angeles Sports Arena this past December.
