Ibarra edges Sugita

WBC Silver super flyweight champion Oscar Ibarra (25-4, 16 KOs) successfully made his second defense of the title with a twelve round unanimous decision over Junichiro Sugita (16-5, 7 KOs) on Saturday night at the Jose Cuervo Salon in Polanco, Mexico. Sugita had his moments, especially late, but judges scored it 115-113, 115-113, 116-113 for Ibarra.

No KO in a battle of KO artists between WBC Youth super featherweight champion Dante “Crazy” Jardon (15-1, 13 KOs) and Rene Gonzalez (28-4-1, 22 KOs). The bout went the full ten rounds with Jardon winning by scores of 99-91, 98-92, 98-92.
