This Thursday was the press conference for the rematch between Mexicans Juan Jose ¨Gooofy¨ Montes and Oscar “Ceviche” Ibarra on Saturday in the town of Cortazar, Guanajuato in an event organized by Promociones del Pueblo. “Ibarra can say what he wants, but it’s one thing to talk and another that occurs in the ring….I come well prepared and eager to return to beat him,” said Montes. “This time I’m going to knock him out whenever I want. Fans can be sure of that,” said Ibarra. Ibarra vs Montes will be for the vacant WBF super flyweight world championship.
Also on the card, Irma “Guerita” Sanchez, will defend her WBF female flyweight world crown for the fifth time against former WBC world champion Carina “Reina” Moreno.
Sensational prospect Mario “Yayo” Muñoz goes against Romulo Koasicha in a junior featherweight ten-rounder, plus Julio Cesar “Pollito” Ceja meets experienced Genaro “Poblanito” Garciaover ten rounds at bantamweight.
