Irish born, Australian middleweight champion Dennis Hogan (18-0-1, 7 KOs) is destined for international recognition according to his trainer Steve Dellar, who also has WBA #2 middleweight Jarrod Fletcher in his gym. “Hogan has shown he is prepared to put the hard work in the gym and that has seen him have impressive wins on his record with his best victory being over former WBA rated Robbie Bryant in 2013,” said Dellar. “He has looked good in sparring sessions with Jarrod Fletcher and with a good amateur background of 150 fights in Ireland he is ready for top class international opponents. Hogan will be in action again on July 12 with the IBF Pan Pacific title up for grabs. We are very happy the IBF have now rated Hogan and we will focus on a world title shot when I think he is ready to challenge the champion Carlos Molina.”

The 29-year-old IBF #14 Hogan, who was born in Kildare, Ireland, was also excited that he is now rated with the IBF. “This new ranking has come at exactly the right time for me, said Hogan. “I have fought the top lads in my division here at national level and feeling ready to make my mark on the international scene. I have been working so hard of late with my team to become better, stronger and smarter at my trade and now this sets the base for me to work off to make some huge fights and get that world title that I have been dreaming of for so long now! Australia is really making a stamp on the world stage at the minute and also so many good fighters coming through for Ireland. It’s exciting to be in the mix with these guys and getting the reward for pouring my life and all my energy into my sport, big thanks to all my team, sponsors, family and supporters without which this would not be happening. It’s time to take this to the next level.”
