The IBF has made a belated decision to vacate the IBF super flyweight title from Juan Carlos “Zurdito” Sanchez. After spending two agonizing hours trying to lose one pound, it was announced that Sanchez had made the 115lb limit last night in Las Vegas. However it turns out that Sanchez actually weighed 115 pounds and two ounces on his third try. The Roberto Sosa Team objected to the IBF that Sanchez didn’t make the weight and IBF Supervisor Aaron Kizer confirmed it, thus the fight will now be for the vacant IBF title and if Sosa wins he will become champion. If Sanchez wins the belt remains vacant.
