Saturday night in Hvidovre, Denmark, Fadia Idrissi (3-1-1) won the vacant BBU female flyweight title with a decision over Elina Jurkane (0-2-1). Jurkane was floored in the opening round, but Idrissi couldn’t end the fight, and after the six scheduled rounds Jurkane was still on her feet. The judges scored it 60-53 and 59-54 (twice) for Idrissi.
Three Danish fighters had their pro debuts at the small hall show in Hvidovre. In super middleweight, Timmy Kimose (1-0), the son of the promotor Johan Kimose, stopped Dzianis Makar (3-10-1) in two, while Lasse Pedersen (1-0) stopped Fiodar Pugachou (4-4, 4 KO) in round three in a cruiserweight fight. Also Mats Groetner (1-0) outpointed Artsem Hurbo (4-12-1) over four rounds at super middle, while middleweight Ole Carlsen (2-0) scored a majority win against Uladzislau Mahdanau (1-3).
