UPDATE: The main-event has been changed. Nick Cook now awaits an opponent T.B.A. as his previously scheduled match with Dave Placencia was altered. Placencia is now preparing to face Nick’s brother Jason Cook. Also on the card will be undefeated Michigan welterweight Marcus Thompkins who sports a 4-0 record.

Professional boxing returns to LaPorte, Indiana on Saturday at the Civic Auditorium as promoter Jeff Wilson showcases light heavyweight boxing brothers Nick and Jason Cook. Indiana’s top 175-pounder Nick Cook (15-1-2, 9 KOs) faces fellow Indiana pro Dave Placencia 5-5-1 in the evening’s main event. Ten four-rounders are scheduled on the undercard. One of those will feature Nick’s brother, who is also a light-heavyweight, Jason Cook. Jason is likewise is undefeated sporting an unblemished 3-0 record as he takes on journeyman Travis Richards 1-5.
