Indonesian Update

Chris John’s camp confirmed the news spread that the stylist and long time WBA featherweight champion will defend his title on Bali Island, Indonesia. After some requests of the Indonesian boxing hero to fight in his own country, the Balinese promoter Zaenal Thayeb will bring John to fight in Bali Island, Indonesia in the first week of April, although the opponent is not decided yet. “The Dragon” John won the featherweight interim WBA title also in Bali Island, winning by split decision over Oscar Leon in 2003. With the big request from his fans in Indonesia to fight in Indonesia, aftar 2009’s “career in the US”, John will seemingly fulfill such request.
Angky “the Time Bomb” Angkota (23-4, 14 KOs), the aggressive Indonesian fighter, will have his golden opportunity to win a world title belt, fighting Mexican veteran Jorge Arce in Toluca, México on January 30. Angkota, 28 years old, is a talented hard puncher and is now preparing very seriously facing his biggest opportunity to make his dream come true.
