Steve Mestas and Air Tight Boxing have announced their next show entitled ‘Show Down’ to be held July 19th at Red & Jerry’s in south Denver. The main event will see Brad ‘B-Loco’ Jackson take on undefeated Giovanni ‘Predator’ Merceron while the co main has Torrence ‘Dynamite’ Daniels facing Alejandro Castillo. The undercard is shaping up nicely as well. In the main event Brad ‘B-Loco’ Jackson, 15-8-1, 7KOs, takes on undefeated up and comer Giovanni ‘Predator’ Merceron, 2-0, 2KOs. Jackson will try to turn away yet another undefeated young fighter as he did in his last bout against undefeated Jeremy Ramos. Merceron will look to keep his KO streak intact while facing the most experienced fighter of his young career. Merceron has been impressive stopping both of his opponents including a 32 second destruction of previously undefeated Marcus Dawkins. This one should produce some fireworks.

The co main event has Torrence ‘Dynamite’ Daniels, 12-10-1, 5KOs, on the comeback trail against Alejandro Castillo, 4-2, 1KO, who is also coming off a layoff. Daniels last fought in May of 2009 getting stopped by Christopher Martin. Daniels opened his career running his record to 10-3-1 before being stopped in 2 rounds by Bernabe Concepcion. He then won two bouts before going on a 6 fight skid, albeit to all undefeated fighters, and hanging up the gloves. Castillo was undefeated at 4-0, including a win over highly decorated amateur Shawn Nichol before dropping his last two bouts, including one to Nichol. He last fought in December of 2011.

Undercard action will include lightweights Armando Rodriguez, 2-1, 1KO, versus Johnny Torres, 1-0 and Isaac Cardona, 2-0, 2KOs, facing pro debuter Rufino Soltero at super middleweight. Also expected to see action are light welterweight Alfred ‘Tornado’ Romero, 6-2, 6KOs, and heavyweight Reyes Diaz, 2-0, 2KOs. In female action Crista Williams, 0-1, will fight Raquel Cordova in Cordova’s debut.

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
