James Toney at the horse races

This Saturday, January 29, at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California, popular multiple-time world champion James “Lights Out” Toney (72-6-3, 44 KOs) will present the trophy to the winners of Saturday’s Sunshine Millions Turf horse race on behalf of San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino. Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, the charismatic Toney has gained tremendous popularity in his adopted home of Sherman Oaks, California.

Fans in attendance can meet James Toney at the San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino booth near the main entrance, and which will adjoin the Kingsbury Fountain and John Henry statue.

    Help Support®

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
