Former IBF welterweight champion and current WBO #1 contender Jan Zaveck is hoping to land another big fight shortly. “I want to return to action as soon as possible”, Zaveck told German boxing website boxen-heute.de. “I feel great, my training is going extremely well. I hope to preserve my excellent shape. Maybe I will defend my intercontinental title again. But, of course, my big goal is a shot at the world championship. I am the #1 contender so there are lots of options. We’ll see what happens with Timothy Bradley. If he remains inactive or doesn’t defend his belt I might get a chance to become interim world champion…”
