WBC featherweight world champion Jhonny Gonzalez conducted his final workout before hundreds of fans and members of the international press Wednesday afternoon in the lobby of the MGM Hotel. Gonzalez looked strong, fast and accurate for his fight against former WBO world champion Daniel Ponce De Leon. Golden Boy is bringing back “prizefighting” by awarding a $100,000 bonus to the fighter who registers the best knockout of the night and Gonzalez has made no secret that he’s looking to collect. “This will be a great September 15 for Mexico and boxing fans. I’m motivated and focused for the moment and hope to be winner of the “Knockout King” on this great boxing night,” said Gonzalez.
