Junior welterweight contender Jo Jo Dan (25-0, 13 KOs) won an 12 round unanimous decision against tough journeyman Walter Sergio Gomez on Friday. With the win, Jo Jo Dan (#5 WBC, #7 WBA) defended his WBC Continental Americas and NABA titles in front of a packed house in his home town of Bucharest, Romania. On the undercard, featherweight prospect Viorel Simion defended his WBC Mediteranean title against much more experienced David Kiilu with a 12 round unanimous decision. Ex amateur junior world champion heavyweight Bogdan Dinu improved to 4-0-0, 2 KO with his 2nd consecutive 1st round KO, his opponent, tough journeyman Nikolay Marinov went down early from two powerful uppercuts and he failed to get up in time. In another heavyweight contest, Lucian Bot won a close decision over 6 rounds against Ivor Marincev and improved his record to 11-0-1, 5 KO. The card was promoted by Gankor Promotions.
