Bettors are backing Kevin ‘Kingpin’ Johnson to win the Prizefighter International Heavyweights show at York Hall in Bethnal Green on Wednesday. Johnson is the current 6-4 favourite for glory in the 25th edition of the eight man, one night tournament. Kingpin is tipped for the top prize ahead of Poland’s Albert Sosnowski, available at 7-2 to land the £32,000 winner’s check. New York brawler Tor Hamer is the 6-1 third favorite for the trophy, with former USBA champion Maurice Harris a 15-1 chance. Brazil’s Marcelo Luis Nascimento and Moroccan-born Noureddine Meddoune can be backed at 17-1, as can. Odds of 24-1 suggest that England’s Tom Dallas has it all to do if he’s to win on the night, while Hatfield’s Tom Little is the least favoured for tournament glory with odds of 29-1.
