Things heated up at the press conference for Friday’s big heavyweight clash between former heavyweight title challenger Kevin “Kingpin” Johnson (29-3-1, 14 KOs) and WBO #7 rated Christian Hammer (14-3, 10 KOs) at the Schnelsen Schnelsen Exhibition in Hamburg, Germany. The ten-round bout will be televised throughout Europe on Eurosport.

Kevin Johnson: “I am the king in the ring! I box anywhere in the world, in Australia, in Europe, most recently in England. In America they’re afraid of me because I hardly get any work. Now I’m going against Christian Hammer…that’s a C-Class Fighter!”

Christian Hammer: “He talks too much, I hope he can also fight in the Schnelsen Exhibition Hall on Friday…I’m in good shape, but don’t have much to say. I do my job in the ring.”

The event is being promoted by Alexander Alekseev, who recently fought for a world championship himself. “I now have an interesting job, and look forward to the upcoming work,” said Alekseev. “Of course, I still need some experience. You never stop learning in life whether you’re a boxer or a promoter. In any case, I will do everything to bring my boys to the top. We’ll see the first results soon.”
