Former world light heavyweight champion Glen Johnson (49-12-2, 33 KOs) hits the mits with his trainer Orlando Cuellar today from his training camp at the Thump Boxing Gym in Miami, Florida. Johnson is in preparation for his much anticipated November 7th rematch with current IBO light heavyweight champion Chad Dawson (28-0, 17 KOs). Also at stake will be the WBC Interim title. Johnson and Dawson fought in March of 2008 where Dawson won a hard fought unanimous decision. Johnson closed the bout extremely strong which left the door open for a rematch. The bout will take place in Dawson’s resident state of Connecticut in the city of Hartford. The venue will be the XL Center. Cuellar left no doubts to what the game-plan is for Johnson. “This is a must win for Glen. Glen is coming to knock Chad Dawson out plain and simple. We are not going to take any chances on this fight going to the scorecards again,” said Cuellar.
