Former WBA world champion Jonathan Barros (34-2-1, 18 KOs) is in the final stage of intensive training for his August 18 clash with IBF super featherweight champion Juan Carlos Salgado (25-1-1, 18 KOs). Ricardo Bracamonte is Barros’ trainer and Paul Stalinger is the conditioning coach. The Barros Team is currently training daily in the Rolando Cortellezzi Gym in the Cano Club in Mendoza City, Argentina. “We’re training very hard because the idea is to be world champion again. I’m ready for this title! Salgado is a good champion but the only big fight he has is the knockout of Linares. I respect him because he’s a Mexican boxer,” said Barros.
