In a cruiserweight bout, 43-year-old former four-division world champion Roy Jones Jr (56-8, 40 KOs) won a ten round split decision over previously unbeaten WBC #9 light heavyweight Pawel Glazewski (17-1, 4 KOs) on Saturday night at the Atlas Arena in Lodz, Poland. Jones was quick enough and sharp enough to outscore the light punching Glazewski early on. Jones was doing a lot of showboating in the bout until Glazewski dropped him with a left hook in round six. Glazewski outworked jones after that, but Roy landed some good punches in round ten that slightly staggered Glazewski and likely won the bout for him. Scores were 96-93, 96-94 for Jones, 95-94 for Glazewski.

Glazewski replaced Jones’ original opponent, WBC #4 light heavy Dawid Kostecki, on short notice after Kostecki was unexpectedly imprisoned. The win will undoubtedly put Jones back into the WBC ratings and position him for a title shot.

Unbeaten 23-year-old Polish heavyweight hope Artur Szpilka (12-0, 9 KOs) outpointed 42-year-old four-time world title challenger Jameel “Big Time” McCline (41-12-3, 24 KOs) over ten rounds. Although both fighters had their moments, it was mostly a tactical fight with few exchanges as the 6’6, 275lb McCline stalked his smaller, quicker, more mobile and 19 years younger opponent.

Former lightweight world champion Nate Campbell (36-9-1, 26 KOs) won an eight round unanimous decision over Krzysztof Szot (16-3-1, 5 KOs). The 40-year-old “Galaxxy Warrior” was much more ring savvy than the less experienced Szot and had things pretty much his way.

Former welterweight title challenger Rafal Jackiewicz (42-10-1, 21 KOs) scored a one-sided ten round unanimous decision over Luca Michael Pasqua (16-5-1, 10 KOs). Currently rated #10 by the IBF, Jackiewicz dropped Pasqua at the end of round three and again in round seven, but Pasqua hung in until the final bell.

Other Results:
Krzysztof Zimnoch KO1 Adnan Buharalija (heavyweight)
Krzysztof Kopytek W4 Aliaksandr Abramenka (welterweight)
