The final press conferencetook place Thursday for Saturday’s clash between IBF flyweight world champion Nkosinathi Joyi and challenger Mario “Dragoncito” Rodriguez at the Municipal Auditorium Luis Estrada Medina in Guasave, Sinaloa, Mexico.
“Dragoncito” Rodriguez: I want to be crowned world champion, I’m at home, with my family, everything is in my favor. My opponent is difficult but nothing is impossible. Not only my dream is to be champion, but to be for many years and on Saturday my story is beginning. I hope you join me to share my greatest achievement of all Mexicans.
Nery “Pantera” Saguilán and Alberto “Kichis” Garza meet for the vacant IBF Latino super featherweight belt, and female flyweights Jessica Nery and Karely Lopez will fight in an eight-rounder.
