WBA/WBO lightweight world champion Juan Manuel Márquez is now expected to return on September 12th or 19th, topping a major card in Las Vegas. Sources at Golden Boy Promotions indicate that Floyd Mayweather, Ricky Hatton, Manny Pacquiao, Érik “El Terrible” Morales and other names are in the mix as possible opponents. In any event, Marquez will return with “Nacho” Beristain to La Romanza Gym in the Federal District next week.
