Juanma headed to Vegas

WBO featherweight champion Juan Manuel Lopez of Caguas, Puerto Rico is arriving into Las Vegas today and will be at ringside at the Las Vegas Hilton on Saturday night. Lopez will be taking a look at the Bernabe Concepcion vs. Mario Santiago fight which will open Top Rank’s Latin Fury 13/Pinoy Power 3 PPV telecast. Lopez said he would like to fight the winner later this year. Concepcion is in the Manny Pacquiao stable of young fighters. “We have no problem taking on Juanma,” said Michael Koncz, chief advisor for Pacquiao. “Both are young, both are powerful and they have the right kind of style to make a very entertaining fight. Manny is very excited about this.”

    Help Support®

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
