Fighting on two weeks notice, New Orleans native Tiffany Junot scored a unanimous decision over current WBC Super Welterweight Champion to claim her first world title on the Fight For Life show in Bakersfield, California. Getting the opportunity of a lifetime after original opponent Molly McConnell had to have her knee drained, Junot used her aggressiveness to constantly beat St John to the punch and scored a 98-94 and 96-94 twice to score her 10th and biggest win ever. Show promoter Roy Englebrecht said after the fight that he would do all he could to have Junot defend her new world title belt in New Orleans, where she has never fought!
