K-9 vows repeat; no Spinks Jinx

IBF junior middleweight champion Cornelius “K-9” Bundrage (31-4, 18 KOs) says he’s in outstanding shape with about about a month to go for his rematch showdown with former multi-divisional world champion Cory Spinks (39-6, 11 KOs). Spinks-Bundrage is scheduled for June 30th at the Fantasy Springs Casino, Indio, California with Showtime being said to air the bout. Bundrage beat the odds stopping Spinks in a shocker nearly two years ago to win his current title and wanted it to be known that the fight result will be the same this time around. “My conditioning is superb and I could fight right now if I had to. Big props to Golden Boy Promotions for knowing a real fight when they see one and stepping up and winning the purse bid for this fight. While some promoters are hestitating, Golden Boy is making things happen and this fight will be on Showtime making this fight that much bigger. Like I have said many times God has really blessed me. I just had to be patient. In regards to the fight, it will be a repeat of what happened in our first fight. There will be no Spinks Jinx whatsoever happening in this fight on me,” said Bundrage.
