Following his impressive performance against tough Nigerian Eromosele Albert last Saturday, Russian junior middleweight Zaurbek Baysangurov (22-1, 16 KOs) was highly praised by Chechen president Ramzan Kadyrov. Baysangurov, who retained his WBA Intercontinental title during his shutout victory, was awarded with new apartments in the centre of Grozny and was also decorated with the highest national honor, i.e. the order of Ahmad Kadyrov, former Chechen president and the late father of Ramzan Kadyrov. The winning fighter, who is promoted by K2 East Promotions, was also given a huge bonus paycheck of $300,000 by Moscow businessmen Ruslan Baysarov. Both Kadyrov and Wladimir Klitschko witnessed Zaurbek’s win at ringside on Saturday night.
