Former IBF light middleweight champion Roman “Made in Hell” Karmazin (39-3-1, 25 KOs), 36, is one step from clinching the title opportunity in a middleweight division. The Russian veteran, who is ranked #3 by the IBF and #4 by the WBC, is aiming at the IBF belt, recently acquired by German Sebastian Sylvester. To face the newly crowned champion Karmazin will have to overcome tough Columbian puncher and IBF #7 Dionisio Miranda (20-4-2, 18 KOs) in the IBF eliminator. The purse bid between all involved parties is set on Oct. 27. “Hopefully, we win the bid and get the fight done before the end of the year. I believe Roman will beat Miranda and Sylvester,” said Roman’s promoter Steven Bash.
