‘KenFlo’ submits Gomi

Kenny “KenFlo” Florian gave former PrideFC champion Takanori Gomi an unkind welcome to the UFC by submitting him in the third round with a tight rear naked choke. Florian controlled the stand up portion of the fight with tight, accurate punches and a particularly effective jab. Gomi had no answer for the boxing of Florian and could only throw wild punches. In the third round, Gomi scored with a left hook prompting Florian to slam him to the mat. Florian quickly sunk in the fight ending rear naked choke at 2:52 of the third round.

The Ultimate Fighter 10 winner Roy “Big Country” Nelson made quick work of Stefan “Skyscraper” Struve in just :39 seconds with a crushing overhand right.

Lightweight Gleison Tibau made quick work of international veteran Caol Uno in the first round via a relentless ground n’ pound TKO. The official time of the stoppage came at 4:13.

Middleweight Jorge “El Conquistador” Rivera made an impressive return to the UFC ranks stopping Nate “Rock” Quarry in the second round with a devastating left hook. The official time of the stoppage was :29 seconds.

In a three round lightweight belt TUF 9 winner Ross Pearson defeated Denis Siver via unanimous decision. All three cards read the same, 30-27.

Welterweight Chris Brennemen earned a three round unanimous decision over Jason High. Middleweight Gerald Harris scored a first round TKO victory over a debuting Mario Miranda. The official time of the stoppage was 4:49. Yushin “Thunder” Okami stopped Lucio Linhares in the second round of their middleweight contest via TKO. The official time of the stoppage was 2:47. Lightweight Nik Lentz earned three round unanimous decision over TUF veteran Rob Emerson. Jacob “Christmas” Volkmann earned his first UFC victory over Ronnys Torres via unanimous decision in their welterweight bout.
