The undefeated “Killer Queen” (26-0, 16 KOs) takes on unbeaten challenger Nadia Raoui (11-0-1, 3 KOs), the WIBA world champion. “I want to win overwhelmingly,” said Kentikian. I look forward to an opponent that will fight for a KO. It’s like fire against fire. I must have more fire.”

WBO light heavyweight champion Brähmer (35-2, 28 KOs) will defend his title for the second time against WBO #8 rated challenger Nicolas Plotinsky (16-3, 8 KOs). “I can never go fast enough,” said Brähmer. “Four months between fights is too long. In terms of training, I’m now in the conditioning phase, shortly before sparring begins. My opponent is awkward to box, but I’m looking forward to it. I like it when people go forward with an open visor.”

Promoter Klaus-Peter Kohl looking forward to a strong program on April 24th. “This will be a great event. There are already more than a thousand tickets reserved, but it’s also a home game. I hope this time Jürgen doesn’t cost me as many nerves as the last time, and for Susie, it’s her first headlining role on ZDF, which is a milestone. Personally, I am also pleased that we can present amateur champion Jack Culcay for the first time in our hometown of boxing.”

Culcay (2-0, 1 KO), the first German Amateur champion in 14 years, stated, “I’m really looking forward to the Hamburg fans….I have worked hard in recent weeks, and am well prepared.”

Also seeing action is middleweight Arthur Matern (4-0, 3 KOs) vs TBA, plus a heavyweight duel between Markus Tomala (6-1, 3 KOs) and Christian Hammer (5-1, 3 KOs).

For 18 years, Fightnews.com® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
